Hi! I'm Heather, and I'm the baker behind your homemade candies and confections. I grew up in northern Indiana, where I went to pastry school and worked as a pastry chef in a restaurant and a baker for a bakery. I have been living in beautiful Florida for the past 3 years. I am a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom to my 4-year-old son. I love playing games, listening to k-pop, reading and baking.

When I was about 10-years-old, I became the person in my family who always wanted to make everything from scratch, and that hasn't changed. Why buy something when you can make it from scratch? For some it's too much time and work, but for me it's fun and a new adventure.

Candies and confections have a special place in my heart. They make me think about family get-togethers, holidays, celebrations, and going to grandma’s house. I think of the tray of buckeyes, haystacks, and seafoam I would have at Christmas time. Or the cream cheese mints my husband’s family makes for every wedding. I think of the candy bowl every grandma and grandpa seem to have with old fashion butterscotch, root beer, and strawberry hard candy. There's sweet memories attached to these treats. That's why I enjoy making and eating them so much.
